Location
Situated on the southern fringes of Bedforshire, the village is serviced by the major towns of Hemel Hempstead, Berkhamsted, Harpenden and Dunstable, all within twenty minutes drive. For administrative purposes, Studham comes under the control of South Bedfordshire District Council in Dunstable.

Schools
There is a well regarded school in the centre of the village, which takes children from ages 5 to 9. Schools catering for older pupils can be found in the major towns listed above. Those choosing private education often use the Beechwood school on the outskirts of Markyate, taking younger children. Some of the private schools in Harpenden and Berkhamsted run coaches from the village. The local Studham School.
Shops
In the centre of the village is a wholesale food shop called Harper's. In the adjacent village of Kensworth there are two General stores/Newsagents, including the Post Office.
Amenities
There are two pubs, the Red Lion and The Bell, the former of which is developing a reputation for a high standard of food. There is a village hall that can be rented as required and Common land in and around the village for walking and with bridle paths for horse riding. The village church (Church of England) is located on the north western outskirts of the village. The nearest golf course is located between the village and Dagnall. This is a private course.
Transport Links
Main line stations to London Kings Cross and the City via Thameslink can be accessed from St Albans and Harpenden, (approximately 30 minutes) and Euston can be accessed from Hemel Hempstead and Berkhamsted (approximately 30 minutes). The M1 at junction 9 is less than ten minutes away, and Luton airport is within fifteen minutes of the village.
Housing Profile
There are approximately 430 houses, the vast majority being four or more bedroom detached. Approximately 200 are located on the Holywell development (Holywell Road, Oakway and Woodland Rise), which was predominantly built in the 1970s and early 1980s, consisting mainly of detached houses and bungalows. In the more rustic semi-rural setting of Old Hill Wood are approximately 50 individual and generally larger houses. Dunstable Road joins the Holywell development with the village centre and has a variation of semi detached up to five bedroom detached houses, approximately 60 in total. Several roads around the centre of the village, including Swannells Wood (30), Kensworth Road (20) and Church Road (40) have a mixture of houses from a small number of cottages, some bungalows and larger detached houses. Common Road is situated on the Western side of the village with a mixture of properties (20).
Village Events
